Worship

Before every service at Maranatha Christian Center you will hear the sounds of praise and worship emanate throughout the building. Led by the Maranatha Praise team, the congregation enjoys a contemporary blend of praise and worship that is focused on an intimate experience with God allowing the Holy Spirit to move within the congregation.

What Kind of Music Do We Sing?

Worship consists mainly of the contemporary praise & worship songs that can be heard all over christian radio of today. Here at Maranatha we also enjoy some of the more traditional style songs while adding our own style to them, as well as write our own songs that the Lord puts on our hearts.

What Do We Expect From Praise and Worship?

"Enter His gates with thanksgiving, and enter His courts with praise."

The reason we start every service with praise and worship is because it is the praise and worship that prepares the hearts of the congregation for an intimate time with God. Often times God uses the worship time to prepare each person for the word that they will receive during the message. While the worship service generally lasts about 30 minutes we allow room for the Holy Spirit to move and do what He wants before we move on.

Why Have a Live Band?

We do not see the worship team as an elevated position in the church, but as a team that God uses to usher the congregation into an intimate time with Him. The worship teams' responsibility is merely to worship and provide a way for the rest of the congregation to follow corporately.
