Merge - A verb. To combine or unite, to come together, to join or become one, to fuse, join together or blend into one.
"My prayer is not for them alone. I pray also for those who will believe in Me through their message, that all of them may be one, Father, just as You are in Me and I am in You. May they also be in us so that the world may believe that you have sent Me. I have given them the glory that You gave me, that they may be one as we are one: I in them and You in Me. May they be brought to complete unity to let the world know that You sent Me and have loved them even as you have loved Me." John 17:20-23
Led by youth pastors, Christa & Pablo Chinchilla, Merge Youth Ministries is the student ministry of Maranatha Christian Center. It is the goal and desire of Merge to see young peoples' lives merge with God’s will; to Merge as a group of young men and women of God seeking to learn more about His plan for their lives. To be so united with Christ that it is impossible to define where His life begins and ours ends. To combine, unite, come together, and to become one….to Merge!
This program is geared specifically for young people’s growth in God's wisdom and maturity. Combining fun activities with practical messages, Merge has something for everyone.
Service Times & Location
Everyone (grades 7-12) is welcome to join us each Wednesday night at 6:30 p.m. and Sunday at 9:30 a.m. Come expecting to leave with a touch from God after experiencing awesome praise and worship and powerful teaching.
Every year, Merge is involved in many activities and youth conferences. We hold a standard and pride ourselves in the closeness of our youth group. Not only does our youth want to do what is right and stay pure, but they enjoy spending time outside of church events as well. Many times it is the youth that plan the events. We believe that the youth are the church of tomorrow and encourage the growth and leadership that will help usher them into the positions that God has for them.
How We Minister
One way we do that is by going to our annual youth camp Youth For The Nations, at Christ for the Nations in Dallas, Tx. This amazing conference encourages teens to develop an intimate relationship with God through prayer and worship and begin moving in the direction that God has called them to move. Many kids find that it is at this camp that God speaks to them about his plan for their life, and in fact, it is here where many have surrendered their lives to the ministry.
It is our desire to see a radical generation of Christ-followers, fueled by a passionate pursuit of God and a desire to spread His glory throughout the earth! We are committed to doing everything we can in order to help young people find the purpose and plan God has for their lives, and to live a life of Godliness and purity.
